Decadent! You Can Now Get A Deviled Egg Flight In Lubbock
Flights are an interesting and fun way to taste several examples of a food or beverage.
Wine and beer flights have been around for a long time, but now, restaurants are taking the flight concept to new, ahem, heights (forgive the pun) with a curated sampling of foods like olives or soup.
Here in Texas, deviled eggs are a holiday staple. Simultaneously decadent and folksy, these rich reminders of the best times are also the perfect size and shape for snacking.
Traditionally made with mayo, mustard, pickle/ relish, and paprika, deviled eggs are also delicious with unexpected ingredients like herbs, peppers, cheese, and meats.
Combining the trend of flights with the versatility of the deviled egg, one innovative Lubbock restaurant now has an Egg Flight available.
Flippers Tavern (1406 Ave Q) Egg Flight includes 8 deviled eggs in 4 flavors, perfect for two people to try everything. The flavors are oh-so Texan and include Taco Tuesday, Jalapeno Popper, Pimento Style, and Bloody Mary.
Since this is a special, it'll likely be available for only a limited time. Just be sure to take a picture of your gorgeous food before you dive in- we want to see it!
Flippers specializes in gourmet hot dogs, delicious appetizers, and some of the best mac and cheese in town. Flippers always has vegetarian dishes available as well.
Flippers also offers a rotating seasonal drink menu with exciting and innovative cocktails and mocktails. I love that I can try something new every time I visit (which is often) or opt for PBR and a mustard dog if I'm feeling the classics that trip.
And don't forget to set aside some time to hit the pinball machines. Deadpool, The Avengers, Foo Fighters, a new John Wick Machine, and the amazingly fun Godzilla pinball machine are all available to play right now at Flippers.
