Texas Woman Stands Her Ground After Creep Allegedly Follows Her Home From Taco Bell in Dallas County

A Desoto, Texas woman noticed a stranger in a dark truck following her home after leaving Taco Bell last Friday and something about it seemed off.

Sure enough, he followed her to her neighborhood and then pulled into the rear driveway, just behind her car. She ran inside, called the police, and armed herself with a pistol.

The Desoto Police Department was dispatched to her home in the 400 block of Raintree Circle just before 8 pm.

The stranger attempted to force his way into her house through the back door of her garage. She noticed he was also armed with a gun. Dispatch officers listened to her scream at the would-be intruder. Neighbors in the area called 911 to report gunshots.

She was not to be messed with.

Police arrived approximately 3 minutes after her phone call and found 35-year-old Octavio Flores Mondragon on the ground of her garage with a pistol lying next to him. The unnamed woman fired "multiple" shots, hitting him twice, once in the face and once in the chest, leaving him in critical condition.

The police have yet to determine Mondragon's motive but have charged him with first-degree burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony.
