Don’t Cry Emo Kid: Emo Night Tour Is Returning to Lubbock
Emo Night Tour is returning to Lubbock's Jake's Back Room (50th & Slide) for a night of all your emo bangers, think My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Panic! At The Disco, etc. And it's all happening on a Saturday, too! April 22nd.
It's basically like a big party/ rave with plenty of fun and incredible hype people to get everyone dancing and singing along. I have a very close friend, who is in fact a real emo from back in the aughts, who has informed me that it is in fact, very legit and fun. He says its high-energy and that they even will bring people on stage for some of the sing-a-longs.
Honestly, you can see for yourself what Emo Nite is like from this gallery of photos from the last event. The last event happened on a Sunday and it was still kinda "covid" times, so I'd expect this event to be even bigger than the last.
I really love that Lubbock is getting more of these "big city" types of events. A curated party with people who have a passion for the same music and aesthetic as you can be incredibly satisfying. Is there a Goth Night Tour? There are probably not enough clove cigarettes in Lubbock for that.
Regardless of whether you're like me, your goth girlfriend, a metal head, a punk, or whatever, this event is sure to be fun. I really, really love MCR so I know I'd have a few songs that would make my bulletproof heart happy.
