Don’t Miss Lubbock’s 2nd Annual Punk Rock Market This Friday
Local artist Jme Brock hosted an incredible event last year at the First Friday Art Trail and it's making a comeback this year. The FFAT on June 3rd, 2022 will feature Jme's Birthday Punk Rock Market at Raider's Axe Gallery located at 1408 Ave. F.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m. and will include performances by Bummified, Toxic Menace, Andres' Backyard Orchestra and Redefined on the indoor stage, as well as a reggae/ska/punk dance party outside with Bomb City Sound. There will also be a drag show from 8:45 until 9:30 p.m. hosted by Emologie Raven.
You'll find a slew of vendors with all kinds of goodies including Valhalla Bound, Scarlet Snicklefritz, Witch Bags, Gnarled Roots, Pride, Lubbock Vinyl Trading Group, Hub City Norml, Necrocraft Curiosities, Grotesk Burlesk, Pyrosapiens, Dead Melon Productions and a ton other talented local artists. Jme plans on sharing a ton of really awesome Ramones paintings as well as some old flyers and things from Lubbock's punk scene that he's held onto for many years. It's gonna be rad.
Farm to Fork food truck will be serving up some fresh and delicious grub, too. The whole event is BYOB, so grab yourself a 6-pack and a couple of friends and get ready to have a dope evening at the First Friday Art Trail.
You also might want to grab some cash to donate to any of the amazing musicians, DJs, and performers on-site...and for any sweet art that you just can't go home without. I scored a really huge beautiful painting last year for a steal, and I'm just hoping the artist returns this year so I can get another.
