For 25 years, DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks (4206 19th Street, Suite 400) has been serving up pies, stromboli (my favorite), and their legendary pepperoni rolls in Lubbock. Since opening its doors in 1999, the popular pizza spot has become a local staple for students, families, and late-night cravings alike (they stay open until 10 p.m.!).

Why Lubbock Loves DoubleDaves Pizza

For a very long time, I had no idea that DoubleDaves is actually a chain. That's because our Lubbock DoubleDave's is locally owned by Scott and Alison Mosier, with plenty of hometown hospitality. And don't squirm at "chain" as DoubleDaves is still a Texas orginal, the first one ever opened in 1984 in College Station and is still headquartered in Austin.

Previously, Lubbock had two locations of DoubleDaves, but closed 6023 82nd Street after the lease expired and the buffet was no longer tenable. It had been open for 15 years.

Lubbock folks love DoubleDaves because the pizzas have many customization options (including five crusts to choose from), the local vibes, and the reasonable price given the high-quality fresh ingredients.

Additionally, Lubbock's DoubleDaves has long offered fundraising opportunities for local charities and organizations.

How DoubleDaves Is Celebrating 25 Years In Lubbock

DoubleDave is celebrating by offering fans a heck of a deal. For today only (September 18th) you can get a dozen pepperoni rolls and a large one-topping pizza for only $25 when you use code DD25. The offer is good for dine-in, carry-out out and online orders. The deal is only good for the Lubbock location, of course.

Congrats on 25 years DoubleDaves! Here's hoping we have you for 25 more!
