Drinking Games – The Painman’s Top 5
A weekend doesn't pass without a group of friends getting together for a little party. Nothing makes that party more fun than a drinking game or 2. So, here's a list of my favorite drinking games.
Just remember, don't drink and drive. Pass out on your friend's couch if you have to, just do your partying responsibly.
Flip, Sip, or Strip
The more people the better. At least 4 people will make the game really fun and last longer.
Fairly simple, flip a coin and while it’s in the air, you call heads or tails. If you guess right, then pass the coin to your right. If you guess wrong, then pass the coin to your left and either take off article of clothing (socks, gloves, anything in pairs count as 1 item) or drink a shot or a 3 count chug of your beer.
One catch, you cannot do the same thing (sip or strip) more than twice in a row.
Quarters
Probably the most famous drinking game of all time.
Quarters can be played with any number of players. Play is best with 3-6 players. Drinkers sit around a table, hard wood works best but you might need to experiment.
The shooter tries to bounce a quarter off the table and into a shot glass. If the quarter goes into the glass, the shooter chooses a person at the table to consume.
The amount or size of the drink is up to the players at the table. However, this should be decided before the game starts.
The shooter’s turn is over when he/she does not make the quarter in the shot glass. Play then proceeds to the next person.
You should determine if you go clockwise or counterclockwise before the game starts. To add to the craziness of the game, rules are created by the shooters only after making three quarters into the glass in a row.
If any rules are broken, the guilty party must consume.
Century Club
This is simple. You drink a shot of beer every minute for 100 minutes.
If you have to go to the bathroom before time is up, then you must finish the beer that is currently open.
Repeat each time you make a trip to the bathroom. No puking or the game is over.
Godzilla
This is my favorite.
Sit down and watch the movie Godzilla. Each time someone utters “Godzilla”, well, you drink.
Making it to the end of the movie is impossible.
Beer Pong
You will need one ping pong ball and 12 cups of beer.
Players can determine how much beer to pour into each cup.
Arrange six glasses of beer on each side of a table as if you were setting up bowling pins. Divide the players in to 2 groups.
Typically, there are 2 players on each team. Each team should sit opposite the other with 6 beers in front of them.
As you take your turn, you must throw the ping pong ball in to the opposite teams glasses. If it lands inside a glass, the opposing team must drink the beer in the glass that it lands in.
The winning team is the team that manages to make the opposing team drink all their drinks.
In some party quarters, at the end of the game, the losing team must drink all remaining beer on the winning side.
