Dust Off Your Clubs For The HarperFest Inaugural Golf Tournament This Month

A golf tournament in honor of the late and great Jerrod Harper will celebrate his life and raise money for the HarperFest Unity Grant (H.U.G.) which helps to provide funding for mental health services for our service industry brothers and sister in the Lubbock area.

The HarperFest Inaugural Golf Tournament will be held on June 20th, 2022 at Lakeridge Country Club with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. Teams include 4 members each, with a $500 buy-in per team. Breakfast will be provided by The Lunch Box and there will be a lunch buffet after the tournament.

There will be prizes given out during the tournament for things like the longest drive, closest to the pin, "anything but a golf club" (where you can use ANYTHING but a golf club to tee off), cornhole (bean bag toss) for a birdie, and super soaker random fun holes.

"As the board members of HarperFest discussed the many things that we all loved about Jerrod Harper, we all reminisced about how he was always there with a HUG when you needed it most, or just to tell you how much you meant to him. We’d like to give a H.U.G. to those that need it, in honor of Jerrod. If you or someone you know (as a member of the Lubbock service industry) could use some help and you’re not sure where to turn or cannot afford the necessary treatment/medication/counseling, HarperFest is here to assist. No one should be left in the dark with their own mental health, we want to help!"
