ESPN Disrespects Texas Tech and Lubbock With Tommy Tuberville Broadcast Decision
ESPN has decided that former Red Raider football Coach Tommy Tuberville will be part of the team that calls Saturday's Texas Tech/Houston game. This is the same Tommy Tuberville who left his football team at a Lubbock steakhouse while he took another job. This is the same Tuberville who compared Lubbock to Iraq.
Current Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury shared his reaction with Rob Snyder and 1340 The Fan early Tuesday at the weekly press conference on the Texas Tech campus.
My full reaction is in the video above, but know this: The decision by ESPN is disrespectful of Texas Tech, Lubbock, alumni, and Red Raiders fans. It's not that Tuberville is a former coach; it's the way he left Lubbock and treated the program.
