When I was a kid I could spend hours building all kinds of things with Legos.

Then as a parent I found myself getting sucked in to playing with my kid and building for hours again, sometimes long after he lost interest I what we were doing.

These days with life always seeming to be so rushed it is easy for parent to sacrifice quality time with their kids simply because it's easier to turn on the TV and let them watch while we tend to our daily tasks.

This week why not try something new and attend Family Lego night at Groves Library with your kids.

The event happens tonight from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

You can bring your own or use theirs and the best part is after you put the kids to bed- you won't have to worry about stepping on one in the dark when you go in and check on the kids while they're sleeping.
