Flix Brewhouse In Lubbock Gets New Seats And Projection Upgrades

Flix Brewhouse (120 W Loop 289 Acc Rd, formerly Alamo Drafthouse) is working on majorly improving its Lubbock location. With the upgrades will come some minor and temporary changes to service at the facility.

Flix Lubbock Is Leveling Up This October

According to a post on Facebook, Flix Brewhouse will be receiving the new flooring, seating, and upgraded projection equipment this October. This will temporarily affect the food service for items like burgers, wings, etc., as the kitchen is on "intermission" during this time.

Popcorn, Candy, Soda, and Alcoholic Beverages Will Still Be Available

You can still get all of your classic movie-going favorites like popcorn, candy, and drinks, including alcoholic drinks if that's your thing. Perfect for all your spooky-season cinema selections, like the new Resident Evil movie and Practical Magic 2, or for upcoming special events like Pee Wee's Big Adventure (9/25) and The Thing (10/10).

Upgraded Projection Will Enhance the Movie Experience

Brighter bright colors, darker darks, and a sharper image all make for more movie magic in the theater. I feel especially strong about this when it comes to horror movies, as I like the contrast to really come across in the picture. This is a major improvement, and I know the movie-going experience at Flix will be better for it.

New Luxury Recliners Are Coming to Flix Lubbock

I'll be honest, that was one thing that drove me nuts about Alamo Drafthouse- the seats that had you practically holding hands with the stranger next to you. That type of seating is fine unless you are, for instance, eating a meal. I could get used to it, but it was always jarring at first. With the space and comfort of a recliner chair, I'll be happily munching on whatever I want, and you won't have to see/hear/smell it nearly as intimately as before.

Congrats to Flix Brewhouse on the major upgrades!
