Footage of Mineral Wells, Texas’ Famously Haunted Baker Hotel & How the Public Can Resurrect It
If you love a good Texas ghost story, you've probably heard tales of the abandoned Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas.
From the woman who leaped to her death from the seventh floor to the boy who died of leukemia with the shaggy dog, the hotel is allegedly full of spirits still lurking the halls of what was once a grand hotel in what was once a health retreat destination town.
Things are very different now. Celebrities like Clark Gable and Judy Garland are no longer flocking to this Texas town to drink the water. Outlaws are no longer hiding out in style (supposedly, Bonnie and Clyde stayed there, but we will never really know).
If you're like me and you want to see the inside of this monument to the past, this video from Driveway TV has some great footage:
The city of Mineral Wells is seeking to resurrect the hotel and bring her back to her former glory, including the revival of the natural spring spas.
