Fun Facts For The Month Of June

We made it through the winter and spring has sprung; so let's celebrate my favorite month of the year...June.

June, the sixth month of the year has plenty to offer.

1) Did you know that the month of June is Candy Month...Starbursts and cotton candy rule!

2) The American War of Independence started in June of 1775.

3) June 19, 1845 the very first baseball game was played in Hoboken, New York.

4) June marks the start of Atlantic Hurricane Season; Tropical Storm Andrea is right on time. (Not fun)

5) Flag day is June 14th.

6) We celebrate Father's Day on June 19th.

7) And even though the South Plains has had triple-digit temperatures since May, the first official day of summer isn't until June 21st.

8) June 30, the day Barbara Driver oozed me from of her birth canal.
