Get Into The Holiday Spirit With This Hilarious Christmas Play in Lubbock
If you're looking for a fun date night to get you in the spirit of the season, be sure you check out "Inspecting Carol" by Daniel J. Sullivan, directed by Mickie Klafka, at C.A.T.S. Playhouse in Lubbock. The show opens tomorrow, December 1st, and there will be performances on the 2nd, 8th, 15th, and 16th at 7:30pm, along with a 2:30pm performance on December 10th.
Here's a description of the show posted by the theater on their Facebook page:
"Inspecting Carol is a hilarious night at theatre. A man who asks to audition at a small theater is mistaken for an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. Everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor, and he is given a role in the company’s current production of A Christmas Carol. Everything goes wrong and hilarity is piled upon hilarity."
I spoke with a cast member this morning and they told me the show is so hilarious, that they have had a hard time getting through their lines at rehearsal without completely losing it. He says it's really a hoot, and the cast is very excited for opening night.
If you'd like to purchase tickets for the show, click here, or you can snag them when you arrive. Also, if you or your children are interested in getting involved with theater around Lubbock, make sure you stick around after the show to talk to a cast member. They are always looking for new talent.
