Lubbock County Judge Tom Head has lifted the burn ban. All of the recent rains have provided Lubbock with significant moisture meaning a 'burn ban' is no longer needed.  One question, 'what does a burn ban' mean to you?  More after the jump.

Taking all of the legal mumbo jumbo out of the 'burn ban' ordinance, it basically means two things, 1.  You can't burn outside of some type of container (like a barbeque with screen) and you can't do anything outdoors that produces flames or sparks (like welding in the middle of a hay field).

The rescind burn ban order was put into affect this afternoon by County Judge Tom Head.  So do you feel like jumping out in the rain and burning something?
