Hi-Plains Apple Blossom Celebration Today In Idalou

Even though the weather has been typical West Texas crazy, spring is definitely here. That means it's time to get out today for the Apple Blossom Celebration at Hi-Plains Orchards in Idalou.

Every spring, Hi-Plains Apple Orchards has an event they call The Apple Blossom Celebration.

For a $5 donation, they'll serve up apple pancakes, coffee and fresh apple cider, with the proceeds benefiting the local Lubbock Meals On Wheels Organization.

Take a hay ride through 6,000 blooming apple trees and enjoy the fact that winter is on its way out.

What a great way to spend a Saturday here on the South Plains.

It happens today from 9 a.m-5 p.m. at Hi-Plains Orchards in Idalou.
