During a memorial vigil for slain Idalou teenager Holli Jeffcoat, a community gathered at Wildcat Park to remember her life on what would have been her 19th birthday.

On Tuesday, May 10, Holli Jeffcoat would have turned 19. Her friends and family sadly celebrated that birthday without the teen, who was found murdered in February.

Following a short prayer, Jeffcoat's uncle Ronnie, who also helps run the Justice for Holli Jeffcoat Facebook page, released a bundle of balloons in memory of his niece while onlookers sang "Happy Birthday."

"We put together this candlelight vigil tonight because it's her birthday, and we wanted to come out and celebrate her birthday," Ronnie explained during the vigil.
