Lubbock, Texas - Last week, I managed to wear the wrong thing every day. I had a sweater on when it was in the 80s and a T-shirt on in the 40s. I'm usually too lazy to check the temperature before leaving the house and assume it will be the opposite of what I expect, 9 times out of 10, so why bother?

I was starting to think we'd skipped spring and gone straight into summer, but nope. It's going to be a cold week here in the panhandle.

It looks like we are in for some freezing drizzle today, Monday. Oh boy! Tomorrow, it will follow up with snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Wednesday, we are in for some dangerously low temperatures, and I'm sure those will make all of the moisture we get today and tomorrow EXTRA fun to drive on!

Meanwhile, Southeast Texas will live it up this week with weather in the 70s and 80s and only a slight chance of rain on Wednesday. They will drop back down into the 60s on Thursday and Friday though, so neener-neener, or something...

Anyway, winter isn't quite finished yet, and I'm glad. Honestly, I like the cold weather. It's the best time of year in Texas, for me. I'm a creature of comfort and hot summer days do NOT do it for me.
