When out-of-towners ask what they should do during a trip to Lubbock, I think we all have similar answers. Go to a game, see a show, and visit our lovely local landmarks.

I also suggest visiting one of the biggest and best Farmer's Markets around, even if it isn't technically in Lubbock.

When And Where Is The Wolfforth Farmer's Market?

The Wofforth Farmers Market is every single Saturday, year-round, in Wofforth, Texas. Wolfforth isn't very big, so you're bound to find it, but the address is 8924 County Road 7100.

If you're more of a landmarks person, it's 1/2 mile west of Frenship High School on West 82nd Street.

The market begins at 10 a.m. (the time I personally recommend getting there) and ends at 2 p.m. Any time is a good time at the market, but there's a little more room to move around/ park if you get there early.

What Makes The Wolfforth Farmer's Market Special?

The WFM is massive- some market days have over 200 vendors spread over 4 acres. There are vendor barns, tents, and food trucks. In addition to eats, treats, and fun finds, there are also free activities like live music and animals to pet/ become friends with forever.

The best part of the market is the vibe, which is truly positive, supportive, and caring. With blue hair and a million tattoos, I don't look like a typical market gal, but every single person I spoke to treated me with respect and like a friend.

Questions about the goods are totally welcome at ever vendor I spoke to (which was A LOT of them). Curious about raw goat milk? Tallow-based skin care? How to best grow a succulent or care for leather? These folks have the answers.

And if you're an animal lover, you will have the best time ever at WFM- there is a variety of cutie pies all over the market.

Looking to have the best time ever at WFM? Here are some tips and tricks (and plenty of photos) from my last visit there.
