Lubbock psychologist Dr. Shaun H. Keel spent over thirty years working with children with abused and neglected children, many of whom went through the foster care system. That kind of work has to take an emotional toll on a person, even a professional.

When faced with seemingly insurmountable injustices and cruelty in this life we have a few options: get depressed, get jaded, or get up and do something about it. Dr. Keel decided the last option was the best one, and founded Foster*A*Life, a nonprofit organization that fulfills the dreams and needs of abused and neglected children- particularly those who don't have a permanent family to help or console them.

Now you can decide if you'd rather get bummed out about this, or get up and help... by having a great time.
