From Cheap Tequila To Icy Hot Condoms, What Won’t You Try Again?
There’s a special category of life experiences that don’t require reflection, growth, or a second chance. You try them once, your soul records the trauma, and your brain immediately files it under Absolutely Not. No notes. No sequel. Done deal.
The RockShow polled dozens of people online to find out what things in life they used once and never, ever, ever again, for whatever reason.
The results were hilarious and not exactly what we expected.
Take condoms, for example. According to the internet, they came up multiple times in this conversation alone, including one brave soul who survived the Icy Hot version. That’s not experimentation, that’s a cry for help. Trojan really said, “What if regret, but minty?” Burns just thinking about it.
Then there are the things you technically survived but emotionally never recovered from. Really cheap tequila is a big one. It doesn’t matter how confident you felt at the liquor store. By morning, you’ve learned a lesson your liver will never let you forget. The same goes for gas-station sushi, dollar-store lash glue, and DIY teeth-whitening kits that feel more like a dental hazing ritual.
Some people swore off concepts entirely. Toilet paper made multiple appearances, which raises questions no one wants answered. One person said “the day,” and honestly, relatable...maybe even woke. Another mentioned a wedding ring, which is less funny until you remember humor is cheaper than therapy.

Clothing and hairstyles weren’t safe either. Bangs made the list, as did a $200 Mr. Fantastic cosplay that betrayed its owner mid-zipper. White couches were also exposed for what they really are: a trap designed by Big Upholstery to test your faith each tomato soup night.
And of course, there are the abstract mistakes. Trusting a fart. Taking crypto advice from a cousin. Saying “just a sip.” Leading a group project. All things that sound harmless until you’re standing in the wreckage, wondering how you got here.
These aren’t failures. They’re life’s free samples. One use only. No refills. And honestly? We’re better for knowing when never again is the healthiest option.
