Is Beef Good For You? Another Nutritional Myth Busted
March is nutrition month, and our friends at United Supermarkets are spending the month talking about good nutrition and busting a few myths. Last week, we learned that frozen foods can actually be good for you.
Brenda Duby with United Supermarkets joined us today to bust another myth, this time about beef.
According to Duby, the myth is that beef isn't good for you. It turns out, that is false. Duby says that beef is part of a great diet and that lean beef is actually very healthy. Lean beef, and the leaner the healthier, contains 10 essential nutrients including B-10, B-12, and is a great source of Iron.
So feel free to include beef in your healthy eating plans moving forward. To hear more about the health benefits of beef and some great tips, watch the video above.
