The Buddy Holly Summer Showcase is carrying on strong and this time they have a band that is a great mix of sounds.

Meet the Posse!

Marco's Crew is a local West Texas band that came into being in 2021 and their chemistry shows in how well they play as a unit. Marco's Crew describes their sound as an earthy Neo-Soul experience as all members are adept in songwriting and performing. They take parts of their favorite genres such as Soul, Rock, and R&B then sprinkle on some calming lo-fi production to keep you floating on air.

The Sound Journey

I obviously had to give this crew a listen since their sound is called Neo-Soul and it definitely hit this Texas guy right in the soul. Marco's Crew has an amazing chill sound that rivals that of lo-fi and relaxes you. I was instantly transported to one of the many Lubbock breweries with a beer in hand just enjoying the summer night which was amazing because that's something I do already.

The Details

Marco's Crew will play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase, located in the Meadows Courtyard at the Buddy Holly Center. Chairs, picnic blankets, pets, outside food and beverages are not allowed but Tasty Tees BBQ & Moe food truck will be there selling food and drinks.
