Junk Fest

On the last Saturday of the month from March through October, Wild West Vintage Décor and Mammie’s Metal Art host Junk Fest. There are a variety of vendors that either repurpose old ‘junk’ into new and beautiful things or make their own products including home décor, jewelry, and more.

The event takes place this Saturday, July 29, behind Wild West Vintage at 8116 W. 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be various vendors, live music, and food trucks all for your enjoyment.

July Food Truck Festival

On the last Sunday of every month, Food Trucks for a Cause gathers a variety of amazing Lubbock food trucks together to raise money for a local non-profit. June’s festival raised over $800 for Saving Grace Pit Bull Rescue, and this month’s event is raising funds for Stages Legacy. This Lubbock non-profit supports those in Lubbock that are seeking to recover from addiction. At least 10% of all sales from this event will go towards the non-profit.

It will be this Sunday, July 30, and is hosted at Aldersgate Church starting at 10:30 a.m.

Live Music

This weekend also features a variety of live music all over town. One in particular is a performance at Sabroso and the Alibi Bar on Saturday, July 29, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. by Two Shot Promise. This duo features singer/songwriter Arle Rossnagel and our very own Jimbo playing the guitar and harmonica.
