Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Prom Through the Ages & Shopping
The weekend has returned here in Lubbock, and so have your last-minute plans. This is your chance to find out more information about a few different events happening in the Hub City so you can make plans with your friends and family with minimal effort.
This weekend is the last on for April, and there are some great options especially for those looking to do some shopping.
Prom Through the Ages
First, we have one of the biggest events of the weekend. Social Dance Lubbock is hosting ‘Prom Through the Ages’ so you can relive your younger days or attend prom for the very first time.
It will be at the Lubbock Garden and Arts Center on Saturday, April 27th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a pasta bar, refreshments, a curated playlist featuring songs from the 50s onwards, plus live music. You must RSVP here and tickets will be sold at the door. Cash preferred.
Junk’d Under the Stars
Hooked on Junk is hosting their first event of 2024 this Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a variety of vendors to shop from and will be located at 11804 South University.
The Oddities Market
Another great shopping event is happening at the CASP Studios this Saturday from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. There will be a variety of oddities creators, artists, and small businesses selling their goods. There will also be food trucks so you can grab a bite to eat.
Spring Plant Sale
Lastly, the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Foundation is hosting their Spring Plant Sale on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. They will have annuals, perennials, and trees for sale. All sales are tax exempt and they except cash and card.
