Dance the Night Away at This Lubbock Summer Dance Party

Summer is still going strong in Lubbock and there are so many fun events to enjoy before fall arrives.

If you love to dance, then you have likely already gone to, or been interested in going to some local dance classes. There are a variety of options in Lubbock for partner dancing, including LHUCA’s Ballroom Dance lesson series, and Social Dance Lubbock who teach at the Lubbock Garden and Arts Center.

Both of these groups teach a variety of dance styles including Salsa, Country Two Step, Swing, and more.

The also host special events where you can get together and practice what you’ve learned, show off your moves, and generally have a great time. Social Dance Lubbock has their big summer event coming up at the end of August.

Their Summer Dance Party will be on August 24th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Lubbock Garden and Arts Center. They will have a curated playlist with a mix of summer songs, finger foods from Market Street and H-E-B including sandwiches, popsicles, and more.

There will also be a limbo contest, and beach-themed photo booth, and guests are encouraged to wear their best vacation attire, like Hawaiian shirts and tropical dresses.

It is also a family friendly event, so feel free to bring the whole fam! Just keep in mind that they are asking for all children under 16 to be accompanied by an adult.
