Cooler Temps And Possibly Rain On Its Way For Lubbock
All signs point to this weekend being a beautiful weekend for outdoor activities in Lubbock with high temperatures actually running a bit cooler than normal but with lots of sunshine during the day on Saturday.
Saturday's high is expected to reach the upper 60's according to KAMC with sunny skies and a slight chance of rain that afternoon and evening. On Sunday, we will see a dramatic change as high's in and around Lubbock will only be in the upper 40's and rain showers are expected. KAMC is calling for a 30% of rain on Sunday.
Depending on how the day progresses, Sunday seems like it could be one of those good lazy days at the house for many of us.
Heading into next week, as of today, high temperatures are expected to rebound on Monday back into the low 60's then the 70's on Tuesday before another cool front comes through on Wednesday.
Lubbock and the surrounding areas remain in a drought. While this weekend's expected rain probably won't bust the drought, every little bit helps and our agriculture producers need as much rain as possible. Oh and for those of us who are tired of the dust storms (who isn't?) the rain could really help us out as well.
