
The Texas State Bar Exam Is More Difficult Than You Thought
For many people across Texas who graduated law school, the thought of taking the bar has engulfed their lives. From all-day studying to anxiety-induced dreams at night, this can be a major source of stress for some.
To add fuel to the fire, last year saw a huge low for passing test takers. In fact, a reported 48% of people passed. That means that over half of all people who took the Texas State Bar Exam did not pass. When you see what's involved, you may understand.
What's Actually on the Texas Bar Exam?
This massive test is actually so large that it's split into three separate days. The exam consists of 40% multiple choice and about 60% essay writing.

Get this, you have multiple chances to take the bar, but the stats show that people have the highest chance of passing on their first try.
Over the three days, the exam purposely throws a huge amount of information and legal principles at you. This adds to the immense difficulty it can pose, but also strengthens your endurance when deciphering important info about pressing topics and cutting out the fluff.

The Costs of Taking the Texas Bar
Finally, you need to consider the costs that you can expect to see when it comes to taking the Texas bar. For instance, taking it for the first time comes with a $575 fee. If you don't pass and choose to take it again, that's another $375 out of your pocket.
This is not even taking into account the amount spent for undergrad classes and your time through law school. So, if becoming an attorney is something you are interested in, just make sure you are aware of everything it entails and what it'll cost you.
