Texas Tech Football Player to Give Back to Families in Need
The holidays can be tough for some families due to not being able to celebrate with a big meal because of their circumstances but one Texas Tech Football player is trying to change that. Tony Bradford Jr. is a senior defensive lineman for the Red Raiders Football team (#97) and is trying to give back to those that need help.
Bradford will be using money from his NIL (name, image, likeness) deal with the Matador Club to purchase 100 turkeys just in time for Thanksgiving. Bradford did state that it was important to give back to the community during the holiday season especially those in need in the Eastern portion of Lubbock. Bradford will not be alone but will have the help of East Lubbock's Community Baptist Church to help with those turkeys.
Bradford will be distributing those 100 turkeys to families on Monday, November 20, at the Community Baptist Church located at 220 Martin Luther King Boulevard from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. There will be a few other Texas Tech Football players to greet everyone that comes by and pose for photos while the families pick up their Thanksgiving turkeys.
