James Hetfield Has A Ton Of Riffs At His Disposal

The Metallica front man recently stated that he has written over 800 riffs for the next possible album.Hetfield talked about how on the handy dandy tool of iTunes, he has 846 riffs in his arsenal. He also stated that these riffs don't include when the band does some jamming in the warm up room or during sound checks.

So what does this mean? It means the next Metallica album, should there be one, will showcase a ton of heavy, punchy riffs from the man himself. Personally, I hope all the riffs will be made into something someday. I know Gunner certainly would like to hear every single one, but for now, we all have to wait.
