Spring break is always a fun time for kids to be out of school but it's often times stressful for parents who still have to maintain a full-time job while taking care of kids who are usually in school during the day.  I try to find some time to do something special with my kids at least one day during the week designated as "spring break" so that it breaks up the mundane routine of video games, endless text messages, and eating junk food they get into, but it's hard when we live virtually in the middle of nowhere, the nearest large amusement park being 400 miles away.

Here are some things that I found which might help to shake up a boring spring break for your family this year.
