King's X drummer Jerry Gaskill (pictured on far right) has suffered his second heart attack. The 56-year-old is reportedly resting comfortably after suffering the heart attack during a minor medical procedure. This is the latest in a string of difficult life events for the rocker.

He suffered his first heart attack back in February 2012. Ten months after the heart attack, his home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Gaskill's longtime bandmate Dug Pinnick revealed the health news via a post on his Facebook page. His statement reads as follows:

It is with a heavy heart that, World Entertainment and King’s X, unfortunately have to announce that during a scheduled minor procedure, Jerry Gaskill, has suffered a heart attack during the post operation recovery, and as a result must undergo double bypass surgery within the next 72 hours. Jerry is stable and resting comfortably in the hospital. Due to the circumstances though, King’s X has no other choice than to cancel all upcoming shows, and we hope that after Jerry recovers that we will be able to schedule make up shows in the future. Until then, all info and updates will be posted on all King’s X Sites, and we will keep you all updated on Jerry’s status.- Faith, Hope, Love...King’s X

Gaskill isn't the only band member to suffer a health scare, as Pinnick was rushed to the hospital in 2013 after complications from a previous hernia surgery.

We'd like to send our best wishes to Jerry Gaskill and we hope has a full and speedy recovery.
