Learn Iconic Line Dances in Lubbock This Fall
As someone who loves dancing, there's no better time to hit the bars and show off those moves than in the fall. It's not so hot out that you're sweating the whole night away, and it isn't cold enough to need a jacket coming and going from the bars. It's the perfect environment.
Whether you enjoy dancing or you want to learn how to this fall, you're in luck. Every Tuesday the Hodges Community Center will host line dance lessons. This is your chance to learn popular line dances that you'll see at Lubbock bars so you won't be afraid to go out there and have some fun.
Line dances are great because they have a wide range of difficulties, several variations, and you don’t need a partner to do them. However, it's extra fun to dance with your friends, so maybe you can get a group of pals together that also want to learn.
The instructor's name is Don and he's a great teacher. I've been part of the dance community in Lubbock for the past five years and I've had the chance to dance with Don and take lessons from him. He really knows what he's doing, so this is a great opportunity to learn from a professional.
If you want to keep up with the dance community in Lubbock, keep an eye on the South Plains Social Dance Facebook page. They always post about lessons around town, including Tango classes at LHUCA, Salsa lessons at Tripp's Bar & Grill, and more.
