Even though 2024 felt like a retail "apocalypse" many industries are growing and thriving. People have to eat, right?

According to Matthews Real Estate Services, several successful food franchises are looking to make major expansions in 2025. This could mean a world of opportunity for business owners in Texas- or anyone who likes to try new things.

While Texas has been the birthplace of some of the most successful franchises in the world, all of these chains originate from other parts of the country or even other parts of the world.

Some of the franchises already have a footprint in Texas- they may currently be confined to a metro area(s) or certain regions of our state. Some will be entirely new here.

And while some restaurants explicitly mentioned Texas in their expansion plans, I also included franchises that are keeping it vague. We could possibly see locations from those places, especially if the interest in ownership is here.
