A Lubbock packaged liquor store is hanging up its keys- and liquidating its current stock. Okay, I'm done with puns... for now.

Crossed Keys (429 Frankford) is closing for good, and have posted on their Facebook that: "All merchandise is marked down!!!! Everything must go!!!!!" The store will be open the following hours until they sell out:

Monday-Thursday 1-9pm
Friday & Saturday 10-9pm
UNTIL WE SELL OUT!
Judging by photos posted, it appears they still have quite a bit of vodka options available (including Texas-made Western Son), some tequila and rum options, some whiskeys and a little bit of gin and scotch left. There are some cooler items in the photos too, like seltzers and they appear to have mixers as well. Might be a great way to stock up at a bargain for the holiday weekend.
Note: Beer signs, neons, and other promotional items are technically always owned by the distributor, so if you were hoping to pick some of those up, you'll be disappointed. They did mention previously that they have some equipment and furniture for sale, but those may have been sold already, I'd inquire sooner than later.
It stinks to see any local business call it quits. I am not sure if this Crossed Key was affiliated with or the descendant of the Crossed Keys I remember on the Lubbock Strip. Or was Crossed Keys elsewhere out of town? It's hard to remember pre-2009 and the dry county era of Lubbock, it feels like 100 years ago.
Wherever you get your libations, remember this is a holiday weekend, and remember that cops remember that. An Uber is always cheaper than getting popped or getting hurt. Be responsible.
