Mario Zapata is searching for answers after his home was severely damaged in the early hours of Sunday, January 12th, 2020.

Here is what Zapata shared on Facebook about this incident:

We woke around 4:30 in the morning to a loud crash from the opposite side of the house... somebody crashed into the house! Their vehicle was intact enough to drive off without a trace before I could get outside to see what happened. Thanks be to God that nobody in the house was hurt! I can't speak for the driver, but it's probably best to keep those thoughts within. I'm furious! I want this person to answer for what was, most likely, a drunk driving accident! We do not have cameras setup out on that side of the house. It's the corner house on 52nd and Elgin. Please, if anyone has ANY info about this or sees a vehicle around that area with damage that could coincide with that type of accident, PLEASE get at me! We just got this house, and now we begin the process of getting things fixed. Please keep us in prayer!

In addition to the exterior brickwork, the house experienced significant damage to the interior as well. Luckily, no one in the house was hurt, but that could have easily not been the case.

If you know anything about this hit-and-run that may be useful, please contact either Mario on Facebook, or use the Lubbock Crime Line at (806) 741-1000 to report details.

If you have cameras that may have been pointing in that direction, please review them if you are able.
