Lubbock’s BBQ Championship Promises Delicious Competition And Fun
Are you ready for this weekend, LubbocK? The smell of slow-smoked BBQ and sizzling steaks will be wafting through town as grill pros and pitmasters descend on the Hub City for the Raider Red Meats BBQ and Ribeye Championship. Competitors will battle it out over an open flame for a shot at $15,000 in cash and prizes, and of course, bragging rights until the next competition.
Tasty Details
You don't have to go it alone- you can sign up the whole time for $275 and conquer the challenge together. If cooking isn't your thing, though, that's okay too! You'll be able to learn all kinds of new meat cooking skills you didn't know existed at the Backyard BBQ Workshop. Plus, the event is free to the public. That's a win-win.

If you have a small business that could benefit from a little sponsorship, that's available too. For $1000, you can secure yourself an 8-person table that includes a huge dinner of prime rib, drinks, access to live and silent auctions, and you'll be included in the Raider Rumber Celebrity Cookoff.
Oh, and did I mention live music? Because that's happening too.
Are You Signing Up?
Lubbock isn't the most exciting place to live, but sometimes it's pretty dang delicious. This weekend is one of those times.
I'd also like to remind everyone that you don't have to have a fancy grill or a super expensive cut of meat to win this competition. A little salt and pepper go a long way. Practice a few runs at home and then head over to Raider Red Meats BBQ and Ribeye Championship!
You never know. You just might win.
