LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Police Department is seeking help from the public in tracking down a criminal on the loose who is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Police are searching for 38-year-old Victor Janez in connection with a Monday morning shooting in the 1800 block of Clovis Road. The horrific incident left 28-year-old Joshua Rios dead.

According to EverythingLubbock, officers first responded to reports of shots fired around 2 am on April 14th. When they arrived, they found Rios with serious injuries. He was transported by EMS to the University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Lubbock Police Department shared a flyer on their Facebook page with a photo and description of Yanez that you can find below:

Yanez is wanted by law enforcement in connection with the murder, and an active warrant has been issued.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous, and the Lubbock Police Department has advised that you do not approach him. If you happen to have any information about his location, please call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000 or Detective Madrigal at (806) 300-6685.
