I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sick of 19th near the Interstate being an absolute mess.

It's been three brutal years of cones, concrete, dust, and frustration for anyone who travels the area- and it's been a tremendous burden on the nearby businesses.

However, one business owner isn't letting this (honestly quite unacceptable) burden bring her down.

The proprietor of Cast Iron Grill drove to her business this morning and was met with a new obstacle- the street was blocked.

However, even after three years, she hasn't let her faith that things will work out waiver. She posted the following to Cast Iron Grill's Facebook page, along with a photo showing that section of 19th blocked:

It is a little unsettling to see the street that leads to your business is blocked. I know my God is bigger than this and his love and mercy endures. It is just another bump in this crazy world of being a small business owner but I am super blessed to be a small business owner & so today I will choose to continue to sing "It's going to be a good day!" Come see us , it maybe a little more inconvenient but WE promise it will be worth it.
Despite the blockade, Cast Iron Grill will remain open- you'll just want to come in another entrance. It's an obstacle, but one that CIG's customers are willing to overcome.
We came by Tuesday and it looked like the entrance was blocked, but there was an opening. I thought I would drive over a barricade if necessary to get that chicken fry .. yes it’s that good !! Where there is a will there is a way … god is good …
Turns out, Lubbock takes 16 years of excellent food and friendly service seriously. Although you don't quite have to go over a barricade to get to it.
Here's hoping this construction can finally come to a close very soon so these businesses can finally see their hopefulness pay off- and so I can quit cussing so close to such a wholesome business.
