Lubbock-Con Is Back With Special Guests From Twilight, Naruto, Spiderman & More
Lubbock-Con is returning to the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (1501 Mac Davis Lane) Saturday, February 25th, and Sunday 26th after years-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lubbock-Con is Lubbock's longest-running comic convention and is Lubbock's only non-profit con.
To prove they are back with a bang, Lubbock-Con has lined up four stellar guest stars, all from completely different disciplines: an actor, a voice actor, an author, and a comic book artist. Truly, something for everyone, including:
Actor Michael Welch is known for his portrayal of Mike Newton in the Twilight series- an absolute monster of film franchises. He also appears in many other TV shows and movies.
Voice Actor Nicolas Roye has acting credits a mile deep, with everything from Barbie to Hotwheels, various video games like Call of Duty and Halo, and plenty of animes like Naruto and Heavy Metal: Dark Fantasy.
Author Michael F. Haspil is a sci-fi and fantasy author whose book Graveyard Shift was a finalist for the Colorado Book Award. He also contributed short stories to several anthologies including the upcoming Warhammer: Cthonia's Reckoning.
Speaking of upcoming- comic artist Brent Peeples is just that- a major star on the rise. He's contributed art to both Marvel and DC titles including one of the most important comic events of the last year: Dark Crisis. Oh, and he's also done art for Spiderman, Ghost Rider, The Flash, and more iconic titles.
Lubbock-Con also has many panels, performances, and activities (including laser tag!), in addition to vendors and artists to enjoy. The event is very family-friendly and affordable. For ticketing information, head to the Lubbock-Con website.
