Lubbock, It’s Finally Time to Eat Like It’s Fall
Something suspicious happens to your brain when Lubbock finally stops trying to cook you alive.
One minute, you're living off slushies and whatever food requires the least amount of effort. Then, the temperature drops and suddenly, you're shopping for all kinds of ingredients, spending way more time in the kitchen, and thinking to yourself (at least once a day), "I need soup immediately."
Fall really does something to us.
Hey Lubbock, It's Time To Eat Like It's Fall!
Soup!
Potato. Chicken noodle. Broccoli cheese. Anything that comes in a bread bowl.
Yes, please.
Chili
I don't think chili counts as a soup. It gets its own category.
Whether you're for or against beans, chili is in your immediate future.
Cinnamon Everything
Cinnamon rolles. Apple desserts. Candles that smell like your grandma's cookies. People love pumpkin, but think about it: cinnamon will always reign supreme.
Baked Goods
Muffins. Breads. Pies. They all seem to taste better when it's under 70 degrees outside.

Hot Chocolate
We drink coffee year-round...but not hot cocoa. It's never really made sense to me...
If you're a cocoa fan, that chocolatey goodness is about to be for sale everywhere. Hooray!
Comfort Foods
Casseroles. Mashed potatoes. Grilled cheese.
They all taste better when it's cold out.
If you're anything like me, the sheer idea of these foods makes you want to put on sweatpants and turn your phone off...
Maybe It's The Cold Air...
Maybe it's the earlier sunsets...
Or, maybe our bodies just know when Lubbock finally permits us to snack like a cozy little goblin again.
Either way, I'm totally ready. Are you?
