Avery's brother Mason Scott, has set up a GoFundMe to help with what he described as "a long and uncertain road ahead." He described the ATV accident as severe and explained that Avery had to be airlifted to the hospital due to her injuries.
I spoke with a family friend who elaborated on the accident, adding that it occurred in Corpus Christi, where Avery lives now, although she grew up in Lubbock.

In addition to medical bills, the family needs help to pay her rent on her apartment while Avery has extensive surgeries on her face.
Avery Has Deep Lubbock Roots And A Promising Future
According to the Scotts' family friend:
Avery was born and raised in Lubbock and attended Lubbock Cooper from K-12, graduated in 2022 from Lubbock Cooper with honors and a degree in cosmetology and went on to college A&M Corpus Christi. Currently works at Splendid Aviation in Corpus Christi and will graduate with her MBA and minor in public relations.
Her family deeply loves her, and although the road ahead is uncertain, they are doing everything they can to ensure her recovery.

After the accident, Avery was discovered by Sarah Briggs, who heroically took immediate action. After driving by the accident, Sarah called the ambulance and stayed with Avery until it arrived. She went to great lengths to contact Avery's family. She has stayed in contact with the Scott family to check on Avery's progress. That was truly a heroic and wonderful thing to do.
