A Grandmother’s Cooking Brings Back Sweet Lubbock Memories
We moved to Lubbock, Texas, from Muncie, Indiana, when I was 4, to be closer to my grandparents. Since they weren't able to spoil me much during the first 4 years of my life, they did NOT hold back when they finally had the chance. My grandmother took every opportunity to feed me something tasty and show off the homemade cooking I'd missed out on in the first few years of my life, which is probably why I was never a skinny girl...but that's beside the point.
Meals at my grandparents' house were awesome, and as Lubbock as they come.
Lubbock's Favorite Foods

Mealtime with your family may not always be the most fun. Not everyone was blessed with badass grandparents like I was. But if you're eating with your family in West Texas, whether you like them or not, chances are, the food will be fantastic. I miss you, grandmother!
