Lubbock’s First Indoor Dog Park Set to Open With Climate-Controlled Play Space

A new business in Lubbock is giving local dog owners a way to keep their pets active indoors during the intense West Texas heat and other uncomfortable weather.

According to Everything Lubbock, K9CareLBK will officially open “The Zoomie Zone” on May 20 at 9502 North Interstate 27. The facility is Lubbock’s first fully enclosed indoor dog park, offering a private and temperature-controlled environment for dogs and their owners.

Designed for Safe Indoor Play Year-Round

The indoor park will feature hourly private rentals for individuals, families, and groups. The space can also be reserved for dog birthday parties, training sessions, and special events.

According to owner Bailey Crouch, the idea came from wanting a more comfortable option for pets during extreme weather conditions common in the region.

The facility focuses on cleanliness, safety, and a controlled atmosphere that avoids the crowding often found at outdoor public dog parks.

Experienced Local Owner Bringing Expanded Pet Services

Crouch, who operates K9CareLBK, is a veterinary technician and Fear Free Certified Professional with more than two decades of experience in animal care.

Beyond the indoor dog park, the business will also offer boarding, grooming, daycare, dog walking, pet sitting, home visits, farm care, and training services. An outdoor Sniffspot area will also be available.

Packages and membership bundles are expected to be offered for regular visitors.

Rehabilitation Services Planned for the Future

One of the long-term goals for K9CareLBK is the development of a canine rehabilitation program in Lubbock. Plans include an underwater treadmill system designed to help dogs recovering from surgery, mobility issues, or age-related conditions.

Founding memberships are currently being introduced to help fund the rehabilitation expansion.

Crouch says the goal is to create a space that supports both recreation and long-term wellness for pets across the South Plains.
