The Tiny Hills Lubbock Residents Are Willing To Die On

Lubbock has perfected the art of turning the tiniest of disagreements into full-blown convictions. 9 times out of 10, we aren't arguing about anything that's going to change the world, but often, the stances we take become part of our personalities.

Things Lubbock Will Defend To The Death

If you ask a room full of us the best place in town to get breakfast, or a chicken-fried steak, everyone will suddenly become an expert. Nobody will agree. Nobody will change anyone's mind. Facts.

In Lubbock, people don't just have a preference for their favorite grocery store; they have a loyalty to it, and they won't be swayed. They don't at all mind driving a few extra minutes to get there either.

We've got surprisingly strong opinions on sports teams, local festivals, and which side of town is the best to live on. (I'm partial to Tech Terrace. The houses are so cute.)

Something We Mostly Agree On

Despite all of our differences, most of us agree that people from Lubbock are exceptionally nice to strangers. We do a lot of chit-chat in public with people we've never met in our day-to-day, and it's enough for outsiders to notice and point it out. (I actually think it's pretty cool. It's one of my favorite things about living here.)

None of these tiny hills is ever worth losing friends over, but we do tease eachother pretty good. We've all got at least one opinion we'll defend with surprising passion, but probably not to the point of uninviting you to Friendsgiving.
