A Lubbock man was arrested on Friday, August 27th after it's said he attempted to steal a vehicle and pointed a firearm at an employee of a car dealership.
KAMC News reports that it happened around 2:30 p.m. at Spirit Automotive Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, which is located in the 4600 block of Avenue Q.
The employee that was involved said that the suspect, Anthony Justice, was seen walking over to a random vehicle and trying the door handles. Afterwards, the employee says that Justice opened the passenger side door of the vehicle they were sitting in, and said that he was taking it.
The employee told Justice to get out, and that's when he allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee. The employee drove off and parked in front of the business.
Justice was eventually located at the Wash-N-Dry in the 4800 block of Avenue Q. After searching him, an officer found on him 2 baggies of marijuana, a hammer, a throwing axe, 2 IDs not belonging to him, 2 $20 bills with the same serial number and a black BB gun.
Justice has been charged for aggravated robbery, forgery, fraudulent use of identifying information and possession of marijuana. On top of this, he was given a ticket for possession of drug paraphernalia.
