Lubbock Man Files Motion in Court to Request a Lower Bond

22-year-old Christopher Carmona filed a motion in court to request a lower bond.

KAMC News reports that Carmona was arrested back on May 11th for the murder of 23-year-old Walter Harper.

The warrant says Carmona went to see a woman in her apartment in the 4900 block of Bangor Avenue and became angry when he found Harper already there with her.

Carmona would need to post bonds totaling $344,000 to be released, but his request said that his "confinement and restraint is illegal because bond is excessive, oppressive and beyond the financial means of Christopher Carmona."
