The Lubbock Police Department has opened an investigation into skeletal remains found in North Lubbock on Monday.
According to the LPD, the skeletal remains were first reported Monday night, March 8, at a remote spot in the 300 block of North Avenue Q near Cesar E. Chavez Drive and Comancheria Lake, which flows into Llano Estacado Lake in North Lubbock.
A police report states that someone came upon the skeletal remains while walking their dog. Photos of the scene taken by KAMC News show the area tapped off. The LPD has not released any more information at this time and has not confirmed if the skeletal remains are even human.
