Study Finds Lubbock Residents Spend “Far Too Long” Deciding Where To Eat
A jaw-dropping new study has confirmed what every resident already knows: deciding where to eat can take much longer than the actual meal itself.
Researchers believe that the average Lubbock person could spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an entire lifetime answering the VERY simple question:
"Where should we go for dinner?"
The study also found that the majority of the time, the first response is:
"I don't care."
However, scientists are warning that this statement is actually rarely true.
It is not until someone suggests an actual restaurant that the real decision-making process begins.
"What about ____."
"Nah. Don't want that."
"Okay, how about ____ instead?"
"Ew. Nobody goes there anymore."
"Well, I don't know where to go. I said I didn't care."

Why Can't We Choose Just One?
This mysterious phenomenon is more common in Lubbock than you think, likely due to the unnaturally high number of excellent locally owned restaurants. It's rather hard for us to pick just one.
We have an emotional attachment to our favorite spots. Things can get messy fast when we disagree. We have to be VERY open-minded when we decide to sit down and eat together. Someone will always come out sad with the final choice. Can't please'em all!
What's more, researchers believe that this behavior might also be responsible for another underresearched phenomenon: nobody wanting to be responsible for choosing the wrong restaurant.
The Solution?
Invite the kind of person who always says stuff like, "I know a place."
That alone can solve multiple problems with ease!
Happy dining, Lubbock!
And might I suggest Bangkok Thai Restaurant? That's always my go-to. Enjoy!
