Generous Lubbock Swiftie Gives Everyone A Shot At Rare Taylor Swift Record
A local Taylor Swift fan has embraced the "Swiftie" spirit and is paying it forward to other fans in a big way- by allowing them the opportunity to win her highly-coveted Fortnite 7' vinyl single.
What Makes The Taylor Swift Fortnite Single So Valuable?
The record is valuable due to its scarcity- it was only available to purchase at local, independent record stores for this past Record Store Day (April 12th, 2025), a special event that highlights the cultural contributions of local record stores.
Participating record stores can only order so many of any particular Record Store Day title. So here in Lubbock, folks were camped outside of Ralph's Records (82nd & Indiana) for their chance to purchase the Taylor Swift record and other titles.
A Stroke Of RSD Luck, Times Two
One Tay-Tay fan lucked out- twice. Not only did the fan snag a copy at Ralph's- their cousin also purchased the record for them in San Antonio. This Swiftie could have kept both records (perhaps opening one and leaving another sealed) or sold the second copy at a markup.
Instead, they decided to do something awesome- with a little help from Ralph's
How To Win The Taylor Swift Fortnite Single in Lubbock
This fan, who decided to remain unnamed, wanted another fan to have a chance at the record, for free. So they passed it on to Ralph's Records to give to another fan. Which is what Ralph's is now doing.
To enter the contest for the record, just head over to Ralph's Records and put your name in the drawing. It's really that simple.
Ralph's will pull the winner this upcoming Saturday (April 19th) so head over to the store before then. Ralph's is open 9 a.m.- to 8 p.m. on weekdays.
Good Luck! And to the fan who did this- you are AWESOME!
