Lubbock, Texas Golden Corral Suffers Massive Damage After Crash

The only Golden Corral in Lubbock (5117 S Loop 289) suffered massive damage after a vehicle drove into the side of the building.

Quite ironically, the building is also the meeting place of Sunny Day Defensive Driving, although there is no indication that a student of the course is the one who collided with the structure.

Our friend Wes Wicker took pictures of the outside of the building, where you can see the damage is quite extensive, with damage to the brick, the interior framing and a busted window:

Circulating on Reddit and other platforms is a photo of the interior of the building after the crash, which is jaw-dropping:

Strewn everywhere are pieces of drywall, insulation, beams, and more. It's a total mess, and will mean Golden Corral will have to undergo extensive repairs. You can also see that the vehicle is a maroon extended cab truck.

Folks who wanted Golden Corral over the weekend were forced to make other plans. When we receive word on a reopening date, we will update this article.
